CLARK's GTS20-33 series is a reliable, durable and powerful range of vehicles with high-quality equipment. This combustion-engined series boasts top-quality standard features such as oil-immersed disc brakes, optimally configured engines, and the usual high-quality CLARK masts with cushioning system during lifting and lowering. Reduced overall operating costs (TCO) and a well-designed and ergonomic driver's cab further enhance the appeal of this forklift. Sturdy metal and vinyl parts, which are the basis of its robust Built to Last ® design concept, ensure that these forklifts will provide years of trouble-free service, like all CLARK machinery.

Driver's compartment

The driver accesses its ergonomic compartment via a wide, low, perforated, non-slip metal step. A grab handle on the driver's entry side facilitates getting on and off. A full-width rubber floor mat prevents slipping. An adjustable steering column with spoked steering wheel and an easy-to-adjust yet comfortable CLARK seat allow the driver an impressive amount of legroom. The pedals are arranged comfortably as in a car. The hydraulic levers are located in an easily accessible position on the hood. Operating data are shown in real time on the clear display screen. A low front dashboard and an ingenious narrow-profile arrangement of chains and tubes on the mast ensure a wide field of vision for the driver. Easily accessible storage compartments and an intuitive automotive-style handbrake complete this impressive cockpit.

Engine, transmission

CLARK GTS20-33 forklifts with LPG or diesel engines have excellent acceleration and thrust, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. All engine variants are quiet and require little maintenance. A 47.8 kW HMC R2.2 diesel engine with diesel particulate filter combined with a split transmission provides exceptional comfort and a quiet ride. For LPG use, an HMC engine (2.4 L) with an impressive output of 48.7 kW is fitted. All engine variants use a CLARK continuously variable automatic transmission. This gearbox forms a compact unit with the drive axle and is connected directly to the engine. To protect your investment, engine and transmission temperatures are monitored, and a cut-off mechanism intervenes if parameters are exceeded.

Separate transmission

The engine and transmission are separated from the drive axle mounted on rubber shock absorbers, which significantly reduces vibration for the driver and makes driving more pleasant and smooth. Driver fatigue is also significantly reduced, resulting in a significant increase in productivity.

Maintenance-free oil-immersed disc brakes

Oil-immersed disc brakes are fitted as standard. The energy required to operate the brake pedal has been reduced to the 50%, which is a significant decrease in operator effort compared to drum brakes. There is no more vehicle downtime due to brake system maintenance because the disc brakes are fully enclosed and oil-cooled. The oil used is almost completely maintenance-free, so maintenance costs are virtually zero compared with forklifts equipped with drum brakes.

Steering system

The hydrostatic power steering system makes steering easier, with full lock-up achieved in a few turns of the steering wheel. Impacts from rough roads are cushioned. The steering axle has swivel bearings mounted in rubber steel elements. The short tie rods are free of adjustment and provide precise and continuous straight-line steering. The steering cylinder ensures precise and direct steering.

Hydraulic system

A full-flow reverse filter filters oil to the tank with each reverse flow. Coarse particles are filtered directly through a suction filter, preventing them from entering the oil circuit. A high-capacity pump provides adequate oil supply for the mast and hydrostatic steering. Load handling is controlled by a control valve with sensitive and precise response.

Upright

Exposed posts for the GTS20-33 are available in Standard, Hi-Lo and Triplex versions. Heavy-duty interlocked narrow profiles provide high strength even under the heaviest load. A hydraulic damping system reduces shock and vibration when switching between individual lifting stages. The robust 6-roller fork carrier plate enhances the durability of this design, even during heavy use.
